Nissim Ezekiel

Nissim Ezekiel (1924 -2004),
poet, playwright, editor and art
critic, is a prominent figure in
post-independent India’s literary
history. He is considered as one
of the leading poets in Indian
writing in English. He won the
Sahitya Akademi Award in 1983
for his collection of poems,
Latter-Day Psalms.
