Frederick Morgan (1922-2004)
poet, essayist and translator was
born in New York. He founded
The Hudson Review in 1947,
edited it for fifty years until the
spring of 1998. He published ten
books of poems, two collections
of fables, and two books of
translations. In 2001 he won the
Aiken Taylor Award for poetry.
